Position Overview

Adjunct Faculty – Parenting Today (BEHS
343) – Department of Applied Sciences and Professional Studies.

Location:

Hagerstown,MD (Stateside). This role teaches an introductory course on parenting within the Social & Behavioral Sciences & Gerontology program. The course is taught on‑site in Hagerstown.

• Engage adult learners through frequent interaction and motivation.
• Guide students in active collaboration and problem‑ and project‑based learning.
• Provide rich, regular constructive feedback, using rubrics and acknowledging student accomplishments.
• Demonstrate current subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their program.
• Provide feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.

• Master’s degree in Social Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in behavioral sciences or a related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education (strongly preferred).
• Resume/CV, cover letter required (cover letter highly preferred); international degrees may require a NACES‑approved translation.
