Educational Interpreter
Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking to hire a full-time Educational Interpreter. Are you passionate about helping all students reach their potential? Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, school events, meetings, and assemblies for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing (D/HH) students.
- Voice the student's signed communication accurately and neutrally for teachers, staff, and peers
- Support student participation in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-sponsored activities.
- Convey important auditory environmental cues (bells, alarms, announcements) to students.
- Assist with behavior support plans and model appropriate communication behaviors when needed
