Bemana is searching for a Safety Supervisor in Hagerstown, MD to join the team of a well-established leader in the pressure-treated lumber and building products industry, supplying residential, commercial, and industrial markets nationwide.

Position Offers- Salary between $80,000- $90,000.

- Develops, plans, and implements written safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. (I.e.
-OSHA) - Develops, educates, communicates, monitors and tracks safety goals quarterly and annually.
- Identifies safety training needs and develop, educate, and coordinate safety training programs when needed.
- Maintains safety files and record keeping.
- Schedules, coordinates safety audits/inspections. Responsible for ensuring corrective action is taken on audit/inspection findings.
- Works with Plant Managers, Vendors, and Independent Contractors to install equipment and new processes, assess and mitigate potential hazards, and train affected employees.
- Coordinates and assists in conducting accident investigations, coordinate documentation of any hazard abatement/refresher training and coordinate education of all affected employees.
- Reports, advises and consults with Plant manager as necessary to address and resolve any Safety-Related issues.
- Prior experience managing safety in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to travel to plant in VA (once per month)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel
