As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will lead inspection teams and oversee complex inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety. You will also develop inspection protocols and contribute to process improvements.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
** Responsibilities:
*** Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
* Develop and implement inspection protocols.
* Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
* Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
* Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
* Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* 5+ years of relevant experience.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
* Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
* Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
* Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
* Thorough understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
* Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
* Experience with first article inspections.
* Prior experience with aircraft modifications.
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

* Essential Functions:

*** Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
* Stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs frequently.
* Work in diverse environmental conditions.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $34.90 - $47.99. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
