Overview
SNC’s Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as Skill Bridge to provide up to six months of industry training for active duty service members. The Supplier Quality Engineer will maintain and elevate the quality of our products and supplier processes across design, manufacturing, and sustainment efforts for ISR and aviation systems.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure supplier quality requirements are met from the proposal stage through product delivery and field support.
- Lead supplier quality activities, including auditing, monitoring, and performance evaluation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategies and processes, including standardized quality acceptance criteria for supplier products and components.
- Provide technical guidance and support in the design, testing, and validation of supplier processes, mechanisms, and equipment.
- Write and maintain inspection procedures, review in‑process rejections, obtain dispositions, and implement corrective actions to resolve supplier‑related quality issues.
- Conduct detailed reviews and approvals of supplier quality documents, including First Article Inspections (FAI), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans.
- Utilize statistical analysis and risk mitigation techniques to develop and refine evaluation and control processes for supplier quality management.
- Participate in supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Currently serving on active duty and eligible to participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent education and at least 10 years of relevant experience (or higher education to substitute experience).
- Experience in supplier quality engineering within aerospace, aviation, and/or defense industries.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection.
- ASQ
Certifications:
CQA, CQE, CSQP, CSSBB, or Six Sigma Black Belt.
