Overview
SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as Skill Bridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. The fellowship provides up to six months of on‑the‑job industry training for eligible active‑duty service members, allowing them to gain valuable work experience, build professional networks, and prepare for full‑time civilian work.
RoleAs a Test Engineer at SNC, you will simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting‑edge products and services, ranging from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft and orbital/space exploration systems. You will develop complex test plans and procedures, execute tests using industry tools, and test system and component‑level new products throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain complex test plans and procedures for a variety of systems to ensure verification and validation of all product requirements.
- Execute tests using top industry tools, including manual and automated testing equipment.
- Document test results, prepare test reports, and demonstrate compliance to system requirements.
- Engage in planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary design and development teams to support system integration.
- Must Have:
- Currently serving active duty military and eligible for DoD Skill Bridge.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in engineering principles and practices.
- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with multi‑disciplinary design and development teams.
- Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
- Exposure to planning, conducting, and documenting V&V activities.
- Preferred:
- Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies.
- Ability to prepare complex test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Familiarity with product and quality assurance principles and handling product non‑conformances.
- Experience performing certification testing for organizations such as FAA, NASA, or DoD.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and troubleshoot.
- Background in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Competitive salary range: $64,853.15 – $89,173.08, adjusted for experience, skills, and location.
