Job Description

Support High Performance Computing (HPC) server-class platforms, network devices, server interconnects, mass storage systems and supporting infrastructure services. One of the critical cornerstones of the IT environment is the closely coupled cooperation between and among the array of computational nodes, networks, storage, and security devices. Areas supported include HPC, HPC infrastructure support, networks, automation, and specialized software development.

• Servers running Sparc Solaris, SolarisX
  64, Red Hat, and SuSe, with direct attached and FC SAN storage
• Client server technology utilizing NFS and CIFS
• Large memory SMP systems with many cores
• Enterprise client server configurations
• Multi‑vendor file systems such as XFS, GPFS, and CXFS
• Fielded systems
• Blade systems and associated interconnects (SAD, FC, TCP/IP, etc.)
• Red Hat and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Microsoft Exchange
• Centrify
• Infrastructure support services such as DNS, NIS, Active Directory, Centrify, Zenoss, Site Scope, HP Open View, HPSA, HPSE, Splunk, Sendmail, Exchange, NetQoS, Infoblox
• Thin client solutions based on Virtual bridges and Centrix

• Virtualizing products; VMWare and Solaris containers
• Accepted professional certifications include: RHCSA or VMware
• IAT Level II Certification Required
• Security clearance and polygraph required
