Job Overview
The Systems Engineer Level II is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all operational technology (OT) network‑connected devices, systems and applications within the industrial control systems (ICS) environment, including SCADA and energy management control systems (EMCS). This includes upkeep on rack‑mounted network equipment such as UPS systems and static transfer switches, verifying sensors and values for HVAC and chilled water systems, and monitoring and controlling switch‑gear and electrical distribution equipment.
The incumbent must understand the design and features of a wide range of equipment, direct work procedures and processes to junior staff, and support the upkeep, reliability and accuracy of the ITS network.

Salary Range: $112,000 - $122,400
Responsibilities- Support the integrity of the system security plan, creating corrective action plans for issues identified and all supporting processes.
- Develop, finalize and submit all documentation required to execute SCADA or EMCS work and illustrate full functionality with completion of work and testing.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose low‑voltage controls and monitoring for various SCADA and EMCS systems.
- Set up and configure OT equipment including network interface devices, controllers and associated sensors and metering.
- Support various groups internally and externally to repair, calibrate and confirm accuracy of data.
- Direct, mentor and train junior personnel as needed.
- Record and update documentation for assets in the ICs environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of equivalent related experience, or Associate’s degree and at least 4 years of equivalent experience, or in lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience with rack‑mounted electrical equipment, programmable automation controllers or relay‑based logic controls and associated methods of metering.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of protocols in industrial environments (Modbus, DNP, SNMP, Bacnet, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and recommend timely solutions.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required intelligence community level clearance.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre‑hire background and drug screen.
- Ability to team‑lift up to 50 lbs.
