Engineer II, Electrical – Hybrid

Towson, MD, USA – 3 days in office.

The role:

Engineer II, Electrical, part of the Product Execution team in the Global Tools and Storage business unit.

• Implement wireless connectivity hardware for professional power tool products.
• Operate within a world‑class product management system from concept through design, mass manufacturing, and full product cycle life support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design new products & platforms, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and reports.
• Build and test prototypes with technicians to validate designs.
• Identify and communicate major technical and schedule issues to leaders, driving appropriate actions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (minimum).
• 2+ years’ experience in electronics design within a relevant industry.
• Familiarity with analog hardware design, troubleshooting, DFMEA, tolerance stack‑up, and hands‑on failure analysis.
• Digital design experience, including microcontroller selection, digital communication protocols, and power budget calculations.
• Hands‑on board‑level bring‑up & troubleshooting (oscilloscope, probes, DMM, spectrum analyzer, VNA).
• Strong communication skills and ability to self‑prioritize tasks.
• Experience with Altium Designer (preferred); circuit simulation with LTSpice or similar (preferred).
