Job Responsibilities
  • Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned, following Oshkosh and industry standards.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing basic plans, designs, computation methods, and reports.
  • Work on limited‑complexity projects under close supervision.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering/business support disciplines and external suppliers.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and outside resources regarding technical issues.
  • Enforce proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards.
  • Ensure technical work complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Prepare and direct layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
  • Perform engineering analysis to support selection of parts, components, and materials.
  • Provide non‑complex technical assistance for production support.
  • Analyze and resolve engineering issues via verbal or written communication.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
  • Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to model system performance and optimize designs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Internship experience or at least six (6) months of related work experience.
Standout Qualifications
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy‑vehicle equipment and related systems.
  • Experience with a high‑level CAD system.

  • External contacts: limited interaction to gather information, answer queries, or seek assistance.

  • Supervisory/managerial: instructing, scheduling, and reviewing the work of peers; acting as a lead worker.
Working Conditions
  • Physical demands: standing, walking, running, sitting, reaching, hearing, talking, typing; occasional driving; fine and manual dexterity; repetitive motion; occasional lifting of 25lbs.
