About the Role
Director, Finance, GSC Outdoor MFG Americas – Hybrid. Responsible for financial leadership across 5 U.S. manufacturing sites with approximately $1.5B annual production value.
Hybrid work model; locations include Valley City, OH;
Towson, MD; and New Britain, CT.
- Serve as the primary finance & accounting leader for U.S. manufacturing operations.
- Provide accurate and timely financial statements and act as the primary business partner of the Manufacturing Director.
- Partner with Commercial Finance & Brand‑Led teams to exceed financial commitments.
- Lead cost and cash performance improvement initiatives and support capital investment prioritization.
- Develop scenario models and business cases for strategic decision‑making.
- Conduct performance reviews with operations leadership to drive accountability.
- Lead core financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close across sites.
- Maintain U.S. GAAP compliant reporting and strengthen balance‑sheet ownership.
- Establish a strong internal controls environment, including SOX compliance and fixed‑asset governance.
- Collaborate with auditors for efficient audits and issue resolution.
- Apply Lean Office principles and benchmark best practices to improve finance processes.
- Coach and develop direct reports and cross‑functional teams; support succession planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification desirable.
- 10+ years progressive finance experience, with manufacturing and global operations exposure.
- Proficiency in SAP (or equivalent ERP) and HFM.
- Expertise in internal controls, compliance, financial reporting, FP&A and advanced cost accounting.
- Track record of driving operational performance, restructuring and strategic outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
