About
The Role
We are seeking a Financial Analysis II professional to support debit acquirer reconciliation activities and ensure the accurate reflection of financial adjustments, settlements, fees, and suspense items within acquirer inventories. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple systems and financial datasets.
The ideal candidate will be available during morning hours to support balancing activities once network settlement is received, enabling timely publication and completion of gateway wires.
Experience with debit networks, financial reconciliations, mainframe systems, and advanced Excel functionality is highly desirable.
What You ll Do
Debit Acquirer Reconciliations
- Perform reconciliation by business level to ensure all financial adjustments received from the networks and suspense items are reflected within the acquirer inventories.
- Review mainframe reports, DGAMS, FSAMS, and multiple Excel workbooks to ensure accuracy of entries on reconciliations.
- Research and identify discrepancies requiring manual resolution.
- Pull core reports from the mainframe.
- Capture totals for settlements, fees, adjustments, and related activity based on defined search criteria.
- Support daily balancing processes and assist with timely completion of gateway wires.
- Monitor and perform daily reconciliations and analysis of bank data for Wire and ACH settlements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Analyze transactions across different card networks, including debit card activity, fees, and chargebacks.
- Review bank statements, general ledgers, and financial data to evaluate discrepancies and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Process correcting entries for clients using automated tools and manual adjustments.
- Provide accurate daily cash projections.
- Report funding position changes to Treasury throughout the day.
- Maintain accurate records of reconciliation-related issues.
- Collaborate with peers and management for issue remediation and escalation.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Assist with the creation of procedures for new business initiatives as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adjusting to changing priorities.
- Proficient in reconciling financial records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, bank statements, and transaction matching.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating challenges, and planning ahead.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with debit networks.
- High-level understanding of financial and bank account reconciliation.
- Experience navigating mainframe systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and the ability to independently conduct research using Excel mapping templates.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong time-management and situational-management skills in high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
