Seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to support the CFO in managing financial operations of a small nonprofit, including but not limited to transaction entry, grant tracking, journal entries, payroll processing, contract compliance, and audit preparation. • Record and maintain all financial transactions within the agency financial software.
• Maintain adequate tracking of spending for all federal, state, and local/other grants to assure timely and accurate spending.
• Record journal entries into the agency accounting software as required.
• Manage agency contracts with outside vendors to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Assist in updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure successful outcomes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Full Time –
Exempt position; 40+ hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

• Salary Range: $68,000 - $70,000
