• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors, including surveillance designed to detect communicable diseases before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of ongoing staff development programs for all personnel within the facility.
• Work closely with department heads to assess the ongoing learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.

• Must have an Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
