Data Scientist -TS​/SCI; FSP

Your Role And Responsibilities

Seeking a versatile data scientist with TS/SCI US Government security clearance and FSP to join a small agile team building big data pipelines, AI/ML‑based analytics capabilities, and user interfaces for government customers. This project includes highly innovative work focused on leveraging AI/ML to discover patterns and develop insights across multiple data types and mission areas. The team is fast‑paced, collaborative, and cohesive, and depends on team members to communicate openly and to design solutions and deliver quality models on a regular, aggressive clip.

Innovative application of advanced data science techniques is highly valued as the team regularly confronts novel challenges and use cases. The data scientist will design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy models using a combination of custom, open source, and off‑the‑shelf (GOTS/COTS) software packages and a variety of data types (structured, unstructured, non‑text).

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and in‑scope full‑scope polygraph required on Day 1
• 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with tools such as Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit‑learn, Tensor Flow, or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must be willing to work 5 days per week in SCIF in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• 1+ year of experience conducting data science work on AWS classified cloud architecture.
• AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer.
• Experience supporting federal clients in defense, intelligence, or homeland security.
• Knowledge of classified data environments and secure data handling practices.
• Familiarity with NLP, computer vision, or geospatial analytics.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience installing and managing software on a high‑performance compute environment.
• Strong understanding of data wrangling, modeling, and visualization techniques.
