Systems Admin L2​/Security Clearance

Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a Systems Administrator Level 3 in support of Linux environments in the Annapolis Junction area. A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from the MD Customer is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time. The ideal candidate will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, manage IT system infrastructure and related processes, and support day-to-day operations including monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.

The role involves Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution, communication of status to agency management, and support for the dispatch system and hardware. The candidate will configure and manage LINUX and Windows operating systems, install/load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Provide Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage LINUX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

• Experience with LINUX, containerization, KVM virtualization, Ansible/SALT automation.
• Great deal of experience with SSP compliance, maintaining STE/STN compliance, and support on Linux systems, managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment, and implementing security procedures and tools; configure and install systems hardware or software and maintain server and domain security requirements.
• Experience with storage management.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible/SALT (bonus).
• Scripting experience with Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
• Experience with FreeIPA.
• Application management support and general troubleshooting.
• A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from the MD Customer is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.
• Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required (Level 2 requirement).
• Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required (Level 3 requirement).
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required; five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Compliance with DoD 8570; such as Security+ CE or a qualifying certification is required (Level
  2).
• Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2; such as Security+ CE or a qualifying certification is required (Level
  3).
