Data Analyst
SG2 Recruiting is supporting their client, Trend Health Partners, in their search for a Data Governance Analyst.
The Data Governance Analyst I is primarily responsible for supporting the integrity, quality, and usability of enterprise data across systems and business functions. This role focuses on foundational data governance activities, including data quality monitoring, documentation, and adherence to established standards. The analyst will work closely with data, engineering, and business teams to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with governance policies, while building core skills in data analysis, data management, and system processes.
Responsibilities- Support data governance initiatives related to data quality, standardization, and documentation
- Assist in validating and profiling datasets to identify data quality issues and inconsistencies
- Partner with team members to understand business requirements and support basic data mapping efforts
- Execute predefined data quality checks and assist in resolving data discrepancies
- Support data migration and integration activities through documentation and validation tasks
- Use SQL to query and validate data under guidance from senior team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure adherence to data governance standards
- Document processes, workflows, and data-related procedures clearly and accurately
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to strengthen data governance processes
- Foundational knowledge in data governance and quality management
- Hands-on experience and solid understanding of 835 and 837 healthcare data standards
- Basic experience in gathering requirements and analyzing processes for improvement
- Experience in systems engineering and integration
- Basic experience with SQL, Databricks, and/or database expertise
- Basic experience in writing technical documentation
- Ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
This position is primarily based in an indoor office environment and involves working at or near computers and printers. The role is sedentary, and the employee will spend most of the workday seated. Essential physical functions include typing and performing repetitive motions using computer hardware and software throughout the day. Essential mental functions include concentrating on analytical tasks, reading and processing information, and communicating with others verbally and in writing throughout the workday.
