Description
The Leidos Security and Engineering Programs (SEP) is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Center for Information Systems Security (CISS) program. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours in Washington DC with as‑needed travel to Chantilly, VA (under 25%).
Work ScheduleMonday‑thru‑Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Primary Responsibilities- BS degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; alternatively, a high school diploma with an additional 2 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Interim Top‑Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a Final Top Secret.
- Experience with Windows Server administration tools: WSUS, Group Policy, Active Directory, RDP, DNS, DHCP.
- Mid‑to‑High Level RHEL troubleshooting.
- Low‑to‑Mid Level Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022/2025 troubleshooting.
- GOTS/COTS application, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Industrial computer and Dell systems installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Tier 3 Systems Administrator support.
- Proactive leader and team player with strong communication, management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; proven ability to thrive in environments that constantly embrace new technology.
- AWS virtualization, networking configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Docker configuration and troubleshooting.
- Database installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.).
- Lifecycle management experience (PC Imaging & Disposition).
- Knowledge of Network Monitoring tool management such as OpManager, Solar Winds, PRTG.
- Experience with Service Now On‑Premise application and database server.
- Experience with virtualization.
- Infrastructure equipment troubleshooting such as Tripplite or Eaton UPS, fiber and/or Ethernet installation/termination, and electronic testing and metering equipment.
- Ticket tracking system experience (Remedy, Service Now, SharePoint).
- Prior experience in a Network Operations Center environment or Tier 3 Helpdesk.
- Basic Juniper and Palo Alto Tier 1 troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with CMD/Terminal/Power Shell/other CLI.
