System Administrator 3

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator 3 to provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. The role includes escalating status to agency management and internal customers.

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Support day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and related hardware.
• Deliver Tier 1 help desk support and Tier 2 escalation support.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware issues, remaining involved through the resolution process.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
• Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• Enforce a safety culture and participate in safety training, emergency response tasks, and safety committee activities.
• Adhere to the Amentum Quality Policy and complete quality management and customer satisfaction responsibilities.
• Read, understand, and implement general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements pertaining to the job.

• Good understanding of Windows and Linux as an end user.
• TS/SCI Poly clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) additional years of work‑related experience to substitute for the degree, for a total of twelve (12) years.
• Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01‑M with a minimum IAT Level II certification.

$175,000 - $215,000 (salary range)
