Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Database Analyst/Programmer is expected to be able to accomplish the following:
- Defines and oversees database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.
- Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment.
- Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases.
- Ensures economic and efficient availability of data within adequate safeguards.
- Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
- Uses data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
- Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements.
- Prepares system requirements, source analysis, and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years;
PhD, 0-3 years - One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications:
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA CySA+
- SSCP

- Microsoft Certified:
Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) - Microsoft Certified:
Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) - Microsoft Certified:
Azure Developer Associate - AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
- GIAC Secure Software Programmer (GSSP)
- Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) – RMF familiarity
- CISSP
- ITIL 4 Foundation
- COBIT 2019 Foundation
- Other advanced industry infrastructure and cloud certifications as well as experience integrating databases with enterprise applications a plus
We are seeking a Senior Database Analyst/Programmer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Database Analyst/Programmer designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation, and configuration management.
