Sign Language Interpreter

Epic Special Education Staffing seeks a Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students for the school year, onsite or virtual. In this role, you will deliver accurate, age-appropriate ASL interpreting for classroom instruction, IEP meetings, and school activities so students who are deaf or hard of hearing can fully access their education. Responsibilities

• Provide real-time ASL interpreting for classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
• Support communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing, peers, and school staff.
• Interpret IEP meetings, assessments, and related student services sessions.
• Adapt interpreting style to students' language levels and educational goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school teams to support student access.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation as required by school and district policies.
• Use virtual platforms effectively for remote interpreting assignments when needed.
• Follow professional ethics, cultural sensitivity, and legal guidelines (IDEA, ADA).

Required Skills
