Maintenance Clerk

Transdev is hiring a maintenance clerk at our WMATA location. We are looking for customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation: $20.69 – $24.40 per hour
• Vacation: minimum of 5 days per year
• Paid sick leave: 40 hours yearly for full‑time employees

• Manage web‑based maintenance systems
• Input invoices into the computer system to ensure vendors are paid on time
• Track and provide sufficient details to management on maintenance purchases
• Complete and file maintenance paperwork
• Input information on work orders
• Put away parts and shop supply orders
• Answer phones and direct calls
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Track and input holiday and hours for the maintenance team
• Ensure overall compliance with various office policies (uniforms, use of electronic devices, phone compliance, meal breaks, attendance)

• High‑school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous vehicle maintenance administrative experience required
• Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships with superiors and peers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity conditions
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
• Drug‑free workplace and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen
