Full-Time Facilities Technician will be responsible to perform basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems. You will assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including managing irrigation systems, maintaining grow room systems, basic grounds maintenance and oversight, and working with outside vendors to complete projects on site.

You will be expected to utilize a work order system to log activities as required.

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues.
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures as needed.
• Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• HVAC system maintenance and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct periodic quality checks of equipment and systems to ensure standards are met.
• Coordinate Monthly PM tasks with Facility Manager.
• Maintain a PM program throughout facilities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Aerial Lift and Fork Lift certifications are a plus.
• HVAC or Plumbing certifications and/or licensing are a plus.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Must be well-organized and able to prioritize tasks.

This position will be on-site at our Hagerstown, MD facility.

$23 per hour

Environmental Factors: Building areas with plant matter and pollen, variable temperatures, high humidity, dust or particles; protective gear and PPE required; exposure to cleaning chemicals may occur.

Physical Requirements: Ability to push/pull/lift at least 50 lbs; able to sit, stand, kneel, bend, squat, and walk for extended periods; manual dexterity for handling objects; able to work with hazardous chemicals following safety guidelines.
