We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to work in our warehouse. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities- 5 years of experience in Engineered Wood Product (EWP) handling.
- Safely operate forklifts and other machinery to complete assigned tasks, including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting material.
- Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
- Proficient in the use of chainsaw cutting.
- Able to pick and transport EWP product up to 48 feet in length to the designated cutting area.
- Must be able to accurately cut, measure, and build EWP packs including LVL, glulam beams, and floor joist beams.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and accurately measure and cut orders with a chainsaw.
- Maintains condition of warehouse work area, e.g., free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
- Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other employees to complete required workload.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues.
- Read and understand tickets and the various codes for products.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
- Prior lumber experience desired.
- Engineered lumber experience preferred.
- Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
- Must have basic math and analytical skills.
