Sr. Controls Specialist

* Perform analysis, detailed design (including documentation), capital request preparation, installation, start-up/checkout/debugging, and cost control of assigned projects.
* Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and equipment modification.
* Participate in process improvement efforts in support of plant goals.
* Monitor plant systems, analyze performance, and initiate action for optimization to achieve plant goals for safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
* Install switches, and perform maintenance on the network as needed.
* Maintain and support the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) environment, including, but not limited to, PLC programming, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) configuration and programming, and logic maintenance.
* Manage records regarding all system software changes and communicate any changes to affected employees.
* Manage contractors and maintenance staff during project installations.
* Create electrical training programs for electrical, instrument, and mechanical teams to stay abreast of federal, state and local regulations.
* Partner with Plant Mgmt to develop the five-year capital planning and the annual electrical operating budget.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

** Must be able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, work at heights, and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
