Forklift Operator Material Handler

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring Temporary to Permanent Material Handlers in Hagerstown, Maryland, offering weekly pay and career opportunities.

• Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $31.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour on third shift
• Schedule:
  
  2nd Shift – Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, overtime as needed

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver responsibilities include:

• Loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Maintaining accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Processing day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Performing other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment and create professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with a good attendance record
• High degree of initiative and accuracy, even under pressure
• Physical ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lb and stand for long periods
• Availability for a flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
