Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool IMC/Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC and telemetry experience and recent Epic EMR proficiency.

• Float Pool position covering Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, MI, unstable angina, and trauma patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4–1:6 depending on unit assignment
• Epic EMR used; recent experience required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Travelers are floated between Med/Surg and IMC units
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required
• Minimum 2 years of IMC experience in a hospital setting required
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD required — no exceptions
