Job Overview

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care while striving to advance their knowledge and skills through feedback and guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values while fulfilling the nursing mission and vision.
• Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop a plan of care tailored to the patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient‑centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective.
• Perform efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in practice changes based on evidence.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX score.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; PACU or Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Part‑time: 20 hours per week, 4 days per week from 11:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.; day shift. On‑call status per company policy.

Pay Range: $37.00 – $55.00 per hour.
