Position Overview
The position provides on‑site direction of nursing practices and nursing care for the night shift (10:45 PM–6:45 AM), including weekends and holidays, at MDH ― Holly Center, a residential facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role oversees adequate and safe nursing resources, including staffing, equipment and supplies, and supports direct care staff to ensure safe, effective, and high‑quality care. During staffing shortages, the position will also provide medication management to residents.

Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. - Experience:
Three years as a Registered Nurse, including one year in a supervisory, administrative, or teaching capacity and two years in the Medical option.
- Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university for one year of the required general experience.
- Candidates may substitute a Master’s degree in Nursing or a health‑related field from an accredited college or university for two years of the required general experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in nursing classifications or nursing and hospital administration specialty codes for the required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi‑state license in states declared as primary residence.
- Motor vehicle operator’s license valid in Maryland if duties require operating an automobile.
- Successful completion of CPR training and maintenance of current certification.

- Employees are subject to substance abuse testing per Maryland regulations.
