Overview
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our NICU Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Educate patients and families through the continuum of care while also advancing their own knowledge and skills through feedback and guidance provided by more senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values as the nursing mission and vision are fulfilled.
- Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
- Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiates corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
- Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in changes of practice based on evidence.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- NICU experience, strongly preferred
- Passing score on NCLEX
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current Maryland State nursing license
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area

Pay Range: $37.00 - $55.00. If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
