Position: Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,959 per week

Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a 13‑week assignment in Hagerstown, Maryland. Travel nurses will work 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive critical care to patients, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, advanced procedures, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Essential Work Functions
  • Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes
  • Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care protocols
  • Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
  • Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheters)
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
  • Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures via ongoing education and training
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital safety procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope
Required Qualifications
  • One year of recent ICU RN experience
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCRN certification
  • TNCC, NIHSS certification
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and computer proficiency
  • Physical abilities: able to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, bend

  • Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, equipment use
  • Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with irregular schedules
