- Pay or shift range: $18 USD to $25.09 USD. The posted range is the budgeted amount for this position. The actual rate of pay will be determined based on several factors, including your relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and alignment with Meritus Health’s compensation practices.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll support the physical and psychosocial needs of surgical patients, assist with intraoperative preparation, and help maintain a smooth, respectful environment for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities- Assist with the physical and emotional needs of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Support the surgical team by preparing equipment, supplies, and patient areas.
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Foster positive relationships with other departments and nursing units.
- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and empathy in all patient interactions.
- Uphold Meritus Health’s standards of safety, service, and collaboration.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant program preferred.
Experience
- Related experience in patient care preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current BLS (CPR) certification required, in compliance with Meritus Health policy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
