Travel Licensed Practical Nurse

Overview

Centurion is the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a full-time Evening Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Roxbury Correction Institution, Hagerstown, MD.

Travel LPNs are assigned to Maryland facilities as needed per contract; each assignment is restricted to one location. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the LPN scope of practice under supervision of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs for incarcerated individuals.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and safety.

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland.
• Must live 90 miles from the facility.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check.

Licensed Practical Nurses assigned to Maryland earn up to $2,685/week including a non-taxed weekly stipend.

Evening shift: 11:30 AM – 12:00 AM.
