American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery LDRP position requiring a compact RN license and 2 years of L&D experience.

• Work in an LDRP unit, rotating among Labor, Triage, and Postpartum/Mother-Baby roles
• Postpartum assignments typically involve 3-4 couplets, while Labor assignments involve 1-2 patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• On-call responsibilities average 16-20 hours within a 6-week schedule, based on staffing needs
• Alternative option to pick up an extra weekend and weekday shift in lieu of call
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Floating required in rotation with staff, following facility floating policies and appropriate orientation

• Active Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and FHM
• AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced) or NCC certification also accepted
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• OB surgical recovery (C-section) experience highly preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide comprehensive care across Labor, Triage, and Postpartum/Mother-Baby settings
• Perform skills including fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery, and newborn care
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Antihypertensives as needed
• Support breastfeeding, lactation, and postpartum recovery care
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
• RTO must be submitted and approved prior to assignment confirmation
• Travelers completing a 1-year assignment must separate for a minimum of 90 days before returning as a traveler
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Annual and orientation training modules required, completed via Relias/Net Learning portal
