Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shift: 4x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00)

Job Description:

This RN position is for Med/Surg Tele/IMC in the Float Pool. The traveler will be floated from Med/Surg units to IMC units. Candidates must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 and must have recent experience using the EPIC charting system.

• Manage and care for patients with complex medical conditions such as acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and neurological conditions.
• Demonstrate the ability to float between various units including IMC, Med/Surg, observation, trauma surgical, stroke, and general admissions.
• Provide comprehensive patient monitoring and assessment, including telemetry functions.
• Administer medications, including blood products, and manage IV fluids and electrolytes.
• Utilize appropriate interventions for patients requiring various specialized care equipment (e.g., chest tubes, IV lines, BiPAP/CPAP).

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an IMC unit within a hospital setting.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Recent experience in Med/Surg Tele within a hospital setting required.
• Experience handling a wide range of patient care tasks including but not limited to accessing ports, managing arterial lines, and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
