American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool position requiring recent Epic experience and 2+ years of IMC and telemetry experience.

• Float Pool position covering Med/Surg Tele and IMC units within a hospital setting
• Floats between MS units and IMC units as part of the assignment
• Patient ratios of 1:4-1:6
• Cares for patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, MI, unstable angina, and trauma
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:30-07:00)
• Some holiday and weekend coverage expected
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a hospital setting required
• 2+ years of prior experience on an IMC unit in a hospital setting required
• Recent, hands-on Epic charting system experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD testing required with no exceptions
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Tele and IMC units, floating as needed between units
• Floating between MS and IMC units is a firm requirement of this role
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted for this position
• Requested RTO must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start
• Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after 1 year before being eligible to return
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
