Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to provide high-quality acute care in a busy Level 2 Trauma Center. This role demands skilled assessment, intervention, and collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to high-acuity patients in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and manage patient conditions according to protocols and standards.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following physician orders and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Adapt to floating assignments across different units, maintaining compliance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH (or eligible for pending).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Up-to-date vaccines including two-step PPD and flu vaccination.
