Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive maternity care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in labor, postpartum, and mother-baby care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
• Manage postpartum care, including tending to mother-baby couplets and supporting early recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Administer medications and treatments adhering to hospital standards and patient needs.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records, including EPIC systems.
• Float between labor, triage, and mother-baby units as needed, covering 3-4 couplets and 1-2 labor patients per shift.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certification in NRP, AWHONN, FHM, and OB surgical recovery (C-section) highly preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records.
• Willingness to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and participate in call hours.
• Able to work some holidays and weekends as scheduled.
• Must meet Tier 1 Travel Compliance requirements.
