Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Services to join our growing team. In this role, you'll care for patients across a variety of specialty clinics and procedural areas, working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.

From preparing patients for procedures to providing education, monitoring recovery, and coordinating follow-up care, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
What You'll Do
As an Ambulatory Services RN, you will:
- Provide direct nursing care in ambulatory and outpatient settings.
- Assess patients and prepare them for procedures and specialty visits.
- Assist physicians and providers with minor surgical and procedural services, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, pain management, and endoscopy procedures
. - Support physician consultations and specialty clinic visits.
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure assessment, education, and monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes or concerns.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Shifts vary between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- After-hours and weekend on-call requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Experience: Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience required.
- Licensure: Active Maryland RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required.
- Certification: Current BLS certification required.
