The Meritus Health Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our 4 West Critical Care team.
Our 24-bed ICU provides advanced care to patients experiencing complex, life-threatening conditions. As an ICU RN at Meritus Health, you’ll practice in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and compassionate care are essential.
Our critical care nurses work closely with intensivists, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care when our patients and families need us most.

Critical care nursing at Meritus goes beyond monitoring and stabilization. Our ICU nurses are actively involved in complex interventions and advanced therapies while helping patients progress through some of the most challenging moments of their healthcare journey.
Our nurses develop expertise in areas such as:
- Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Rapid sequence intubation assistance
- Care and management of intubated and mechanically ventilated patients
- Tracheostomy care
- Early mobility and ambulation of intubated patients
- Advanced life-support techniques and critical care interventions
Key Responsibilities
As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and medically complex patients
- Assess patient conditions and quickly recognize changes requiring intervention
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing plans of care
- Manage advanced critical care equipment, therapies, and monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols
- Support patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
- Collaborate closely with intensivists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the critical care experience
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, early mobility, and evidence-based nursing practice
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgment
