Overview
Centurion is the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are seeking a full-time Evening Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Maryland Correctional Training Center located in Hagerstown, MD. The Travel Program RN will work between various facilities/locations throughout Maryland per contract needs. Each assignment is restricted to one location.
The RN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient. Our travelers are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees with opportunities throughout the country.

Short-Term/Travel Assignment
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Nursing Supervisor, and multidisciplinary teams to assess and respond to patients physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Deliver nursing care on assigned shifts as part of Centurion s Travel Team at Maryland facilities.
- Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
- Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Maryland.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility preferred.
- Corrections experience preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
