All new graduate LPNs at Meritus participate in our Nurse Residency Program
. Our residency program is a unique experience to jumpstart your career, knowing and anticipating your needs and challenges in your first year of nursing practice. Our 12-month program compliments the nurse/preceptor relationship and gives you the tools you need to establish your foundation in the profession. • 2 Letters of Recommendation, with at least one being from a clinical instructor.
• Letter of Intent.

Graduate from an approved nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.

One year experience in relevant specialty preferred. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.

Current license to practice in the State of Maryland.

Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must possess high level of organizational and communication skills.
