Meritus Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join 4 South
, our dynamic 27-bed Cardiac, Medical, Observation, and Telemetry unit
. 4 South is a great fit for nurses who enjoy variety, teamwork, and caring for patients with complex medical and cardiac needs.
As an RN on 4 South, you’ll play an important role in monitoring, assessing, and caring for patients whose conditions can change quickly. From cardiac monitoring and medication administration to patient education and discharge planning, you’ll help patients safely progress through their hospital stay while collaborating closely with an experienced interdisciplinary team.
What You’ll Do- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to cardiac, medical, observation, and telemetry patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
- Manage oxygen therapy, wound care, and other complex nursing interventions
- Care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and titratable medications, as appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote patient safety, quality, and an exceptional patient experience

Skills:
Strengthen your expertise in cardiac monitoring, medication management, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood transfusions, wound care, and titration of drips.

Minimum QualificationsEducation
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required
- Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of prior hospital experience
Licensure & Certification
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or qualifying multistate/Compact RN license
- Nurses holding a single-state license from another state must obtain Maryland RN licensure as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program™ preferred
