American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of ICU experience and a compact RN license, caring for trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro patients.
Details- ICU setting caring for Trauma, Cardiovascular, Stroke, and Neuro patient populations
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope to IMC
- No on-call requirements
- EPIC charting system required
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
- MD or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience preferred (2+ years with strong experience may be considered)
- No new graduate RNs accepted
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, and CVA/stroke management
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, CRRT, and neurological interventions such as EVD and ICP monitoring preferred
- Provide critical care nursing to complex trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro patients
- Floating performed in rotation with facility staff, following facility floating policies and Joint Commission standards
- Holiday and weekend coverage expected
- First-time travelers not accepted for this role
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year assignment before returning
- Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only one RTO request permitted, must be approved prior to assignment start
- Orientation includes non-billable training modules averaging 4-8 hours, completed annually and tracked through Relias/Net Learning
