American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN with compact licensure for a Level II Nursery night shift position requiring prior travel experience.

• Work in a Level II NICU Nursery caring for neonates 29-34 weeks gestation
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:30-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to well baby nursery within scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Open to block scheduling arrangements

• Active compact RN license or MD state license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Experience with neonatal care including IV therapy, central/umbilical line care, feedings, isolation precautions, and respiratory support (Bubble CPAP, oxygen delivery)
• Experience with high-risk neonatal conditions including neonatal abstinence syndrome and administration of emergency medications, vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
• Pending license candidates accepted
• Two references required for consideration

• Provide comprehensive NICU nursing care including gastrointestinal, neurologic, infectious disease, and respiratory support for neonates
• Support breastfeeding and handling of breast milk for NICU patients
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, with limited exceptions
• One RTO request permitted
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year assignment before returning
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Orientation and annual training modules completed through the Relias/Net Learning portal
