PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector to join our team supporting one of the world's leading aerospace organizations. In this critical role, you'll help ensure aircraft, systems, equipment, and components meet strict FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications, playing a direct role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of every aircraft you inspect.

What You'll DoAs an Aircraft Inspector, you'll use your technical expertise and FAA certification to verify the quality and airworthiness of aircraft throughout the production and maintenance process. Your responsibilities will include:

Perform in-process inspections of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and components in accordance with your FAA inspection authority.

Verify compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards.

Identify and document discrepancies, defects, or non-conformances that may affect airworthiness.

Ensure work performed meets established inspection criteria before advancing to the next stage of production or maintenance.

Review maintenance and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, engineering, and quality teams to resolve inspection findings.

Support audit readiness by following established inspection processes and procedures.

Maintain accurate records while adhering to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout daily operations.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Typically two (2) or more years of relevant aircraft inspection or aviation experience. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience, and related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe (A), Powerplant (P), or Repairman Certificate.

Experience inspecting aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and components.

Basic understanding of aviation audit and inspection processes and procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and documentation skills.

Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting aviation maintenance or inspection operations.

Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Military aviation or U.S. Department of Defense experience.

Familiarity with continuous improvement and quality assurance practices.

Work Environment This role requires working in an active aerospace environment and may include:

Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and repetitive hand movements.

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, fumes, and hazardous materials.

Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.

Strong visual acuity, color differentiation, depth perception, and hearing ability.

Working in a safety-sensitive position involving aircraft, hazardous materials, and specialized equipment.
