As a Security Officer Security Screening Desk in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access, screen visitors and packages, and support smooth daily operations through a visible presence and strong communication.

Job Schedule:

Day Time Tue 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM Thu 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM Sat 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post‑orders and client‑directed protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting security‑related concerns and reporting them through proper channels.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help support authorized access and help to deter prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, operational issues, and/or security‑related conditions that may need attention.

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
