Job Summary

A Water/Wastewater Utility Technician is needed to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and wastewater systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining infrastructure such as water mains, sewer lines, lift stations, and related assets.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, and possess good communication and customer service skills. A willingness to learn technical processes and safety protocols is essential. A valid driver's license is required, and a CDL must be obtained within one year of hire. This is a direct-hire role with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Salary: $52,000 - $68,650 per year

Work Hours: 8am to 4pm

Education: High School

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, repair, and replace water mains, meters, hydrants, and backflow devices
• Maintain sewer lines, manholes, and lift stations; conduct video inspections of wastewater systems
• Respond to service requests and infrastructure line location calls
• Interact professionally with customers during outages and repairs
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and leak detection equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, system maps, and construction documents
