Arctic Fabrication Technician, Full‑Time

Salary Range: $19.50 - $23.00 per hour

Arctic Vans, a division of Thermo King West/Chesapeake, is located at 16105 Business Pkwy, Hagerstown, MD 21740. The position requires a full‑time commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM. Overtime may be available based on production back‑log.

• Welder/Fabricator (Apprentice) – Requires experience in all forms of aluminum welding;
  Tig and MIG preferred or trainable. The role includes fabrication of aluminum flooring installations and operation of a shear and brake for aluminum shaping and forming. The candidate will also learn to operate a brake for aluminum shaping and forming.
• Welder/Fabricator (Journeyman) – Requires experience in all forms of aluminum welding;
  Tig and MIG preferred. Task includes fabricating, repairing equipment utilizing fixtures or drawings, and performing workshop duties. The role also requires operating a shear and a brake for aluminum shaping and forming.
• Welder/Fabricator (Expert) – Requires experience in all forms of aluminum welding;
  Tig and MIG preferred. Responsible for fabricating and welding assorted products using various raw materials, tooling and hands. Duties include reading and understanding assembly instructions to ensure finished product meets quality control standards and providing assistance in training others. Operates shear and a brake for aluminum shaping and forming.

Operate shear and brake equipment for aluminum shaping and forming, fabricate and repair equipment utilizing fixtures or drawings, read assembly instructions to meet quality control standards, train and support coworkers.
