Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain information management solutions in support of Navy program requirements.
- Apply structured programming techniques to ensure maintainability, scalability, and reliability of automated solutions.
- Develop and optimize data architectures, data models, schemas, and relational/non-relational data tables.
- Support integration of software components into existing DoN systems and architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, testers, and program managers.
- Generate and maintain documentation, including design documents, data dictionaries, interface control documents, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with DoN cybersecurity, configuration management, and software development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in support of operational systems.
- Participate in on-site technical meetings, demonstrations, and reviews at Webster Field (St. Inigoes, MD).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of software engineering experience, preferably supporting DoN, NAVAIR, NAWCAD, or related DoW activities.
- Demonstrated expertise in structured programming (e.g., .NET, C, C++, Java, Ada, or similar).
- Experience designing and implementing data architectures, relational databases, and data tables (e.g., SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, Oracle). - Experience developing system-level data flows, ERDs, and interface schemas.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, version control, and lifecycle processes (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or DoW-specific frameworks).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Active Secret Security Clearance required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Full-time onsite position goes, MD.
SalaryWage range: $120,000 – $140,000 (salary) depending on experience and qualifications.
